Wat Pong Yang kok (Pong Yang kok Temple) 

         Wat Pong Yang kok is located on the Hangchat - kohkha road in Hangchat District. lt is an important tmple to the history of Lampang. lt is a temple where Nan Thip Chang, the ancestor of the seven kings of the north, lived his life as a monk. At the temple, you will find a historical architecture, the Jammadhevi shrine, that was built by Chawmae Jammadhevi, The Queen of Lampang, when she passed by Lampang hundred of years ago.
          The shrine was built with a traditional Lanna architecture, in which is very rare to find these days. The distinctive Lanna arts can be found on pillars and walls that were first painted with red colored paint, the covered with gold leaves. This style is considered to be one of the most beautiful method in Ancient Thai  Architecture.
